The Tension
Africa has extraordinary creative talent,
but no unified infrastructure to fund, nurture and grow its creative and cultural ecosystem. IbifiriWari was founded to become that infrastructure. Yet as its work expanded, recognition rarely extended beyond the initiatives themselves, leaving the larger vision invisible. As a result, investors struggled to recognise its long-term viability, while creatives engaged with IbifiriWari as an audience rather than as participants in the ecosystem.

Web Design
To transform fragmented initiatives into a connected story, we searched for visual systems already designed to preserve, document and contextualise culture. Editorial publications, museums and documentary archives became the foundation of our art direction because they naturally organise independent pieces into a meaningful whole.
Rather than borrowing these references for their aesthetics, we adopted the principles behind them to shape a digital experience built around proof, participation and momentum. Editorial layouts establish clarity and credibility, archival structures reveal the continuity between initiatives, and documentary storytelling gives every programme the context needed to communicate a larger cultural vision.
Visual Identity
Inspired by the founder's roots in Rivers State, Nigeria, where waterways have long connected communities and carried culture forward, we created a visual identity that moves like water; Fluid, adaptive and interconnected, finding strength in the flow of people, ideas and
endless opportunities.

The
Shift
Launch is only the beginning, and not the finish line.
nine months later, we returned to measure the shift through founder interviews and reflections, feedback from the Ibifiriwari community as well as website and social media analytics.
