NDAWANI

Redesigning people-first journeys

The Tension

Ndawani was born to challenge traditional luxury travel with a bold philosophy: put people before places, and prioritise genuine human connection over performative luxury. The vision was compelling, but in reality, the brand struggled to communicate its distinction in a saturated market of more established travel agencies making similar promises.

The Defining Tension

How do we become the obvious choice for a more human and creative approach to travel?

Ndawani's communication challenge wasn't a messaging problem—it was a positioning problem.

Ndawani was trying to cater to every type of group travel, making it difficult to establish a clear point of difference. Through brand workshops, market analysis and audience research, we discovered that its strongest point of entry wasn't group travel itself, but the shared interests that bring people together. This gave Ndawani a sharper position while preserving the flexibility to evolve as the business grew.

While Ndawani's philosophy was compelling, it wasn't yet distinctive enough to own a clear place in the market.

We distilled the brand into four defining Brand

Codes—People Before Places, Travel as an Art Form, Destinations as Creative Mediums, and Ndawani as

a Travel Companion. Together, they transformed an ambitious vision into a philosophy people could immediately understand and confidently believe in.

Visual Identity

By moving beyond the muted minimalism that defines luxury travel and embracing bold colour and expressive typography, we reimagined the category as something vibrant, human and unmistakably premium.

The
Shift

Launch is only the beginning, and not the finish line.

Six months later, we returned to measure the shift through founder interviews and reflections, feedback from the Ndawani community as well as website and social media analytics.

Lead to client conversions increased by 2.3%

Engagement on instagram increased by 25%

Repeat bookings grew by 18% post rebrand
